Lalo and Joanna met me at Bishop Park just before Christmas to do their senior photos and it was a nice change of venue. Mammoth is great and dramatic and what everybody wants to see, but the light is so tough in the winter so I was stoked to try something new with these guys.
We shot Mark and Casey’s wedding formals here last summer, and we were ecstatic with the location. It looks a bit like the deep South if you cock your head a little and squint your eyes.
They brought their families down, as well as their new baby, and we had a blast exploring the park and looking for cool spots to shoot.
After the park, we all drove out to Silver Canyon Road, just past LAWs Railroad, and got some sweet sunset shots with the White Mountains and Sierra Nevadas as a backdrop.
Lalo and Joanna were an awesome couple to work with, and babies are always fun to shoot. Thanks guys, and thanks to your entourage for helping out.
That’s all for this week. We’ve got lots of new stuff in the works, including some engagement sessions and, finally, new wedding and portrait galleries so stay tuned.
