Overlooking Bishop California, Mt. Tom held- off a pile of rain clouds while wind whipped through the Owens Valley on Saturday morning. The clouds piled up over Rovana and Pine creek as we pulled into town from Mammoth Lakes. A few drops fell in Bishop cooling the air as clouds rushed over the valley, clearing the sky for the rest of the day. A perfect “fall” day for a beautiful wedding.
Casey and her bridesmaids prepared for the day at the Creekside Inn, a surprising hotel full of awesome Galen Rowell prints. This is where I met Jess, Mike and Casey’s little boy, the real star of the day. They held their service in a lovely chapel right around the corner from the hotel. After the ceremony we crossed the street to the Bishop City Park where we made some portraits of the wedding party.
Then it was on to an awesome house just off East Line St. where the party began. A great “how we met” story by the groom had everyone rolling. We set up the photo booth and DJ Rodney O kept the party rolling with an awesome mix of generational and genre favorites. We had an awesome time.
Mark, Casey and Jess, congratulations and keep rocking. Thank you.
