Minaret Photography » Mammoth Lakes California Wedding and Portrait Photography

Those June Lake weddings are something else. June is a world completely apart from Mammoth Lakes in so many ways, and I love opportunities to photograph weddings out there at places like Double Eagle Resort. It’s less than a half hour away from Mammoth but the mountains, the trees, the light and the atmosphere are all unique to that loop.

Ashley and Brandon’s wedding there last month was so well planned and executed. Ashley has worked in the wedding industry for a long time and was able to create a plan for exactly how she wanted her day to go down. She’s got great attention to detail and brought in the right crew to get it done like she imagined.

Shoutout to Benton, California’s Rummage Girl Weddings for so much of the decor below. They have the ability and resources to make each space feel unlike any other.

Also, as usual, thanks to Mountain Cakery for an amazing desert spread, Chanel at Mum’s n Roses for the stunning wedding floral arrangement , Fresh Tracks Entertainment for being an amazing wedding DJ / MC, Sarah Wood for making Ashley look even more stunning, and of course Double Eagle Resort providing us with an amazing Eastern Sierra wedding venue.

It’s been a busy finish to the mountain wedding season but winter is coming and things are slowing down. We can’t wait to share all this recent wedding work. Come back here soon, or check Minaret Photography weddings on Instagram for several updates each week.

Rarely is the top of Mammoth Mountain windless and relatively warm, but we caught such a day last month up there for Paige and Jared’s mountain wedding and it was spectacular.

We started out in one of the swankiest rooms the Eastern Sierra has to offer in the Mammoth Mountain Inn before heading out into the forest at Main Lodge for first look and bridal party photos.

The ceremony was on the roof at McCoy Station, our second up there this summer. After the formalities were done, we jumped on the gondola to the top and caught a lovely pre-sunset walk at 11,000 feet as well as a huge photo of the entire group.

We descended to Parallax from there for some quick sunset photos, dinner, and lots of shots.

These guys joined me this winter for engagement photos in some of the gnarliest winter weather I’ve ever shot portraits in, so I think we earned this lovely day on top of the Sierras.

Check Minaret Weddings on Instagram for more from this and thanks for checking in!

Victory Lodge in June Lake is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue that is unlike anything else in Mammoth / the Eastern Sierra. It’s rustic elegance at its finest, and has some of the best views you’ll find anywhere.

It’s also an easy spot to be based for the day, with everything happening in one spot. Nowhere else offers that kind of access.

We teamed up with the Convict Lake Weddings crew, who do a fantastic job on or off their home turf, for this rowdy evening and we scored awesome images throughout the day.

Thanks to Natalie and Adam for having us along, and to these guys for making the dream work:
