This past weekend Brandon and I had the pleasure of shooting another beautiful wedding with a great couple at Convict Lake. Set between Laurel Mountain and Mt. Morrison, the Convict Lake Resort is an amazing outdoor venue with stunning mountain scenery.
Brandon, fancying himself a connoisseur of all things Eggs Benedict, assures me Convict Lake Resort makes the best eggs benny he’s ever had. In fact whenever he’s not on the road shooting amazing photos he can be found at the Convict Lake Resort Sunday mornings for their brunch.
Back to the wedding.
I had a blast working with this amazing couple and their host of friends. We didn’t have the opportunity to make engagement photos with them so I had no idea what to expect. Just like all the people we get to work with, they were great. The most telling sign was that they were surrounded by a loving crew of good-natured friends who showered them with praise and love.
The laid-back style of this wedding allowed Brandon and I plenty of time to set up some more technical shots as well as get a few landscape photos. We were also able to escape the mountainside, out of the extremely harsh light, to the desert to make some portraits.
It was another great (and very busy/tiring) weekend in Mammoth and another great wedding.
This weekend we’re shooting Jeremy and Lizzie’s wedding here in Reno. They’ve made us promise to pull them aside at sunset, so we should have some cool stuff from that.
Stay tuned and see ya soon.
