Ryan and Sierra came to Mammoth Lakes in March to do these engagement photos, but the wind shut us down after about 3o minutes.
I asked them if they would be willing to give it another try in the spring and they were up for it, so here is our redemption photo shoot.
They are avid fishermen (fisherpeople?) so I thought it would be cool to incorporate that into the photos. We had some fun with an old rod and reel of Ryan’s that came from Mammoth in the 1940s. Vintage props that fit the theme like that are always cool.
Sierra and Ryan come from Apple Valley, which is just north of the greater Los Angeles area and about an hour from Big Bear. They are true outdoor enthusiasts and share a passion for the California mountains. Ryan hooked a perfect match in Sierra and their August wedding will be a night to remember. They plan to hold the wedding ceremony near Sherwin Meadows, flanked by the Sherwins to the west and Mammoth Creek to the east. The reception will be at CJ’s Grill, one of Mammoth’s newest restaurants.
That’s all for today. Josh shot Pat and Naomi’s wedding on Saturday in Alaska and is ecstatic about the outcome. We’ll post some shots from that in the next few days. Have a great week.
