Family Portait Photography in Reno, NV on Peavine.

The Hammond family and I ventured half-way up Peavine Mountain on a stormy evening earlier this summer. We were planning to catch the full moon as it rose over the hills to the East of Reno. The storm clouds obscured it for all but a moment, however they did provide some amazing light and sunset colors to use as a dramatic backdrop. Lightning danced around us as we grabbed a few photos in the increasing wind and cold.

It was a fun time and I really appreciate their willingness to go the extra mile to get great photos. Ting’s parents were in town so we went with a few more traditional poses for the classic family photo feel, displaced to the side of a mountain. I found the pink chair and ottoman at a garage sale this summer, it’s always good to have props laying around.

Great times, thanks guys.
