Evan and Amy met me at the Bar of America Sunday afternoon in historic Truckee, California. We chatted a bit about their wedding, had a beer, then hit the streets to make some engagement portraits of them. It was an overcast day with a bit of a breeze, as a snow storm blew in from the west.
We toured the downtown area making use of the rustic sidings and unique historic buildings scattered about. Eventually the train tracks drew us in and we made a few portraits along the Union Pacific Railway, and the Truckee River.
Evan and Amy met in the Pit campground in Bishop, CA. The Pit is the quintessential Eastern Sierra climbers campground, it gets a lot of winter sunshine and is close to a variety of climbing hot spots. A very cool spot for a couple of climbers too have met and now be getting married. Their wedding will take place near another climbers paradise, Donner Pass. I’m quite excited to join them in celebrating in such an amazing location!
We’re planning on doing some more engagement photos together, so you’ll get to see this lovely couple a couple more times.
Brandon did some engagement photography this weekend as well, he will be posting his work on Thursday.
Thanks and have a great day
