Jenn and Justin’s engagement session was a full day’s adventure covering some of the coolest, most accessible spots in the Eastern Sierra.
We started at Rainbow Falls on a freezing autumn morning. We shot this during the government shutdown and everybody thought Rainbow Falls was closed so we had the place to ourselves for about an hour-and-a-half. The temps were in the 20s for the hike down, but Jenn and Justin were troopers. That’s especially true for Jenn, who rocked a dress and some heels out there. I was wearing a puffy jacket and gloves.
After Rainbow Falls we took a break and then met at Silver Lake, north of June Lake lake, for a sunset session. They know an awesome couple who has a boat on the lake and they were stoked to let us use it for the photo session. Justin navigated Jenn and I around for a while and we found some great afternoon light looking out toward Carson Peak.
If the engagement session was any indication, their wedding next summer at the Double Eagle Resort and Spa is going to be great.
That’s all for today. Have a great weekend and check in next week for more.
