I met Cory and Sarah last night at June Lake for their engagement session and besides for Cory’s phone dropping into the lake and some mosquito bites, it was a successful mission.
Cory and Sarah live in Mammoth and we’ve got mutual friends that have a place on the east side of Silver Lake (just north of June Lake), so we figured it would be a great place for the session. It’s one of the most incredible cabin tracts in the Eastern Sierra, with views to Carson Peak and Horsetail Falls.
We made some cool shots on a nearby dock, then took a fishing boat for a quick spin around the Silver Lake inlet. Cory paddled Sarah around for about fifteen minutes, which is way more romantic than firing up the boat’s presumably functional outboard motor.
After that we made a few stops in some open areas around the June Lake Loop and ended the night with tacos at Toomey’s, the caterer for their Hayden Cabin reception later this summer.
That’s all for this week. There’s more to come soon from Josh and I, and wedding season kicks back into gear in a few weeks in Tahoe. We’re both stoked for it to begin. Thanks.
