Maggie and I just got back to Reno, Nevada from our trip to Alaska to visit my family. We managed to get out a few times and shoot some photos, taking advantage of the 24 hours of light and the long sunsets. I decided to include us in this image thinking it a magical location. This is on the hay flats outside of Palmer. The Shooting Star flowers were blooming and mixed well with the beautiful light from the setting sun. Even though it was fairly warm by Alaska standards (50-ish), we had stayed in our jackets to keep from being eaten by the huge mosquitoes. It was a great trip and I’ll continue to post photos on my blog www.joshhejl.com. This one just belongs on Minaret Photography.
