I spent an early September afternoon making family portraits with Josh, Lauren and Jovie and it was a blast.
We went out to one of my favorite spots beyond the Snowcreek Golf Course in Mammoth Lakes. There’s a trail there that leads to the base of Mammoth Rock and a small, hidden pond that my dogs love to play in. We caught the evening light just right and, besides for Lauren’s bee sting at the base of the Mammoth Bluffs, everything went perfect.
Two-year-old Jovie had a great time trekking around the meadow and she did an admirable job posing for the camera. I hope to do another session with them soon.
Wedding season is coming to a close for us now, but Josh and I are still out shooting a lot. We’ve got several engagement sessions going on in preparation for next summer’s weddings, and we’re also doing family sessions and other portraits around Mammoth, Lake Tahoe and Reno. Check back soon, we’ll be posting shots from each session on the blog, as well as some of the photo booth collections from this summer. Those are hilarious and absolutely worth checking out. Thanks and enjoy and the arrival of fall.
