Here is the second half of the images from the 2012 Mammoth Food and Wine Experience. There was just too much to cover for one post, so here is #2.
These images are from Saturday night, when the fun really started.
The idea behind cook off between several California cooking schools was fantastic. The public were all given a plate, a glass and a chip. They went from station to station, eating and drinking. At the end of the evening, each chip was placed into a container at the participant’s favorite entry.
It made for a lively event. The cooking crews cheered and hollered each time they received a vote.
By the end of the night, the team from Bakersfield College came away with the victory.
Next up was the live auction, followed by an awesome Blues Brothers cover band. Band might not be the best description, as they sang over pre-recorded tracks, but the performance was super entertaining and it seemed like everybody had a blast.
That’s all for this week. We’re headed to Potter Valley near Mendocino County today for Shannon and Frost’s wedding, then back to Mammoth for Sam and Ann’s big day on Sunday. The weekend kicks off a busy summer, we’ll be shooting at least a wedding per weekend until October, give or take one weekend of rest.
