I first met Jennifer and Daniel at a Mammoth Mountain wedding gala about two-and-a-half years before their June, 2019 wedding. Let’s say they played the long game with it. That kind of waiting takes way more patience than most are willing to expend, but the best things in life are worth waiting for and their day was spectacular.
The June scenes at McCoy Station may have been straight out of a beautiful February day with the ski resort still loaded with snow, but temps slightly more seasonally appropriate–it was perfect. The rooftop ceremony was ideal and we caught a a stunning sunset at the top gondola before heading down to a raucous party at the mid-mountain lodge.
That weekend brought a new moon and, paired with the lack of late-night ambient light on the mountain, we captured one of my all-time favorite night images–with Milky Way firing in the early-summer skies and a blanket of white accenting the landscape.
The long game paid off for this awesome Southern California couple and I love the images we created early in the 2019 wedding photography season. Thanks for visiting and keep coming back as we’ve got so many awesome stories to share right here in the coming months.
