Summer engagement photography sessions in Mammoth need to be treated a certain way. The high country above town is only accessible without snow-travel involved from about May/June-November. So when the getting is good, you know we’re getting after it up there.
These guys were super down for a short hike, as well as some knee-deep action in the frigid water of McLeod Lake.
The four of us (including their dog Denali) made the loop around the lake, one of the easiest to access and most beautiful in the Mammoth Lakes Basin, and caught last light as it bounced off the lake’s east shore before heading back down and catching some afternoon shade above Horseshoe Lake.
While a breather is going to be appreciated, next August with these guys at their Convict Lake wedding can’t get here soon enough.
