Katie and Andrew came out to Lake Tahoe from the East Coast to get married a few weekends back and got the mountain wedding they were dreaming of. Andrew grew up visiting the area and knew exactly where he wanted to do this as soon as he knew that Katie was the one. She was on board with the idea and the rest is history.
This was our first wedding at the Gatekeeper’s Museum in North Tahoe, and it was a sweet spot. While it’s located at a rad spot on Lake Tahoe’s outlet into the Truckee River, the lake is less ubiquitous here than at other Tahoe spots. This spot is all about the amazing little venue in the woods flanked by the river and surrounding forest.
We found an amazing lupine field close by and caught sunset on the beach there before returning for an awesome evening on the dance floor under an idyllic summer evening. There’s even a pinata thrown in for good measure, check it out. Katie crushed it with one swing.
The floral crew at Love & Lupines crushed it, as they do. Check out their work throughout this one.
